About Gay Pride UK

Gay Pride UK Ltd. is a company limited by Guarantee, making us not for profit. We exist to provide information, support and a comprehensive network that funnels resources, time and ultimately money into Pride on a national scale. We do this in a multitude of different ways and if you would like to know more then you can read the Introduction to Gay Pride UK section of this site.

We believe that by funnelling finances through a national organisation, that Gay Pride in the UK is capable of sourcing the best possible facilities to hold, finance, expand and enhance the Pride experience.

It is a commonly known fact that Pride is an integral part of the make-up of many community calenders... by joining all of these events together and using the strength of their message, we really can look forward to a brighter future.

A Little Bit of History....

Gay Pride UK was started as in February 2009 as the definitive guide to UK LGBT Pride events. After initial success with the launch of the site and building search engine ratings, the decision was made that there was more that could be done with the site.

We realised that there was so much scope for a potential national presence (mostly because of commercial interest centred around a national body). For this reason, as well as us considering that profiteering from the elusive 'pink pound' was reprehensible considering the work that has gone into making this site possible, we went 'not for profit' in August of the same year.

So now we are what you see today, a Support Network and National Presence for Pride. As we are a relatively new organisation, we are still in a very green and flexible stage of progression but nevertheless we stand for all that is moral, progressive and inclusive in the largest single themed festival IN THE WORLD!
