Calderdale Pride

This year the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Trans) community of Calderdale will celebrate its first Gay Pride. Between 12 and 2pm in the Spring hall, Halifax, there will be free Sports taster sessions for people of all ages that shall be run by professional LGBT coaches.

Set in the magnificent Piece Hall at 2pm, Calderdale Gay Pride will officially kick off with a community pink picnic you can enjoy a full programme of live events from the stage, bands, quality DJs, food, licensed bars, a Pride market, and special guests. So bring food, friends and a picnic blanket..... The event will end around 9pm. The setting for Calderdale Gay Pride After Party will be at Cookies (aka Fagins) the bar will be open until 2am

For those who manage to tear themselves away early enough from the revelry, at 1pm on Sunday there will be a Gay Pride Walk to Stoodley Pike - a stunning walk to suit most levels of fitness, feel free to bring your dogs (though they do request 'well behaved animals') For those who wish to join in, the walkers will meet at Hebden Bridge Train Station.
