Oldham Pride

Organised by Oldham LGBT Forum, last year's Pride event had an interesting theme with "A Way with the Fairies". Birds of paradise, plane crews and 'fairy' stories lend commentary to just a few ideas contained within the event in the Town Centre.

There was plenty of scope for imagination (though certainly not much need for it) and had huge involvement from everyone in the LGBTQ community. As well as celebrating that community and diversity in the town as a whole, the town will be continuing its pioneering Kicking Homophobia Out of Oldham campaign as part of an ongoing process.
