Gay Pride UKGay Pride UK is a not for profit organisation that aims to support Pride events in any way that we can. We are currently working on several projects to raise awareness of UK Gay Pride and LGBT issues and concerns. We hope that you find this site, useful, informative and a complete breakdown of the aims and objectives Gay Pride UK has to help raise awareness of LGBT (and indeed any minority) Pride. As well as offering a guide to pride, history, charities and support group listings and our current media being an e-newsletter and an online blog. We hope to support Pride in the UK and stress that Gay Pride is not essentially a party. Sexuality doesn't automatically mean sex and for that reason we are diligent in monitoring all of our content to stress this fact. Pride is run by volunteers, funded by regional and national bodies and by public donation.... Not necessarily an after party in a nightclub to boost revenue. The LGBT community are entitled to equality and this is partly a legal status but just as importantly a social status. The aim of Gay Pride UK is ultimately to support all Gay Pride in the UK by generating funding and reaffirming the fact that Pride is here to raise awareness of LGBT equality. |
