An Introduction to Gay Pride UK

Gay Pride.... Over 40 years ago the frontier of 'Gay' Liberation exploded across the world, changing minds and attitudes towards sexual identity and expression. Today, in the UK alone, over 3 million people participate in nearly 100 public events and festivals every year. This makes Gay Pride in the UK the largest single themed festival of its kind annually.

So, what does all this mean?

Well, simply put, across the country there are a large number of committees running Pride on a voluntary basis. Although they are all unique (as are the organisers involved), one thing remains clear... Pride is there for everyone to enjoy and forms an integral part of our society.

Here at Gay Pride UK, we are a charitable organisation that exist to house pride in a way that shall allow us to take the next leap in this powerful movements evolution. Regionally Pride sends a message to the UK population that "We're here, We're Proud and we're not going anywhere" but by establishing ourselves nationally we are capable of so much more.

For more information either check out the About Us page or Contact Us.

We need you!

Be you an individual, a charity, a business or any other organisation, there are many different ways that you can help to advance Pride in the UK. All we ask is that you remember that without you, this would not be possible and if you feel there is anything that you can do (be it a donation, volunteering or providing a service to your local community), please contact either ourselves or a local Pride for more information.

Alternatively, check out the options below to see how you can become involved in Gay Pride UK.

As our motto here at Gay Pride UK states:

"You do not have to be gay to be proud, but you should feel proud to be gay"
